To make your homemade shower oil, you will need the following ingredients and their respective percentages:
Hemp Seed Oil (70.00%): Hemp Seed Oil is a rich source of essential fatty acids, including omega-3 and omega-6, which deeply nourish and hydrate the skin. It helps maintain the skin's moisture barrier, promoting softness and suppleness. Additionally, hemp seed oil is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can soothe irritated or sensitive skin. You can use any oil or emollient you like.
Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate (15.00%): Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate is a versatile emulsifier and solubilizer derived from natural vegetable sources. Its main function in this shower oil formulation is to emulsify oil when it comes into contact with water, ensuring a clean rinse-off. It helps create a milky consistency that disperses evenly when applied to the skin, transforming into a gentle cleansing milk when in contact with water.
The unique property of Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate lies in its ability to create oil-in-water emulsions with a low concentration, making it an ideal choice for creating shower oils, bath oils, cleansing oils, balms, light emulsions, and serums. The iodine value is a measure of the unsaturation level of a fatty acid or oil, indicating the number of double bonds it possesses. Oils with higher iodine values tend to have a greater degree of unsaturation, making them more compatible with PGMO. The presence of a higher number of double bonds allows for better interaction and emulsification with PGMO, resulting in stable and well-textured formulations.

Isoamyl Laurate (11.00%): Isoamyl Laurate is a lightweight, non-greasy ester derived from plant-based sources. It acts as an emollient, imparting a silky and smooth feel to the skin. This ingredient helps to spread the shower oil evenly and enhances its moisturizing properties. It also contributes to the non-greasy finish, leaving the skin feeling nourished but not weighed down.
You can use any other emollient, ester, or oil instead of Isoamyl Laurate.
Blue Raspberry Slushie Fragrance Oil (3.00%): The fragrance oil adds a delightful scent to the shower oil, creating an enjoyable sensory experience. The Blue Raspberry Slushie fragrance adds a sweet and refreshing aroma, making your shower routine a pleasant and invigorating one. You can use any fragrance oil you like. Feel free to use less than 3%. Typically 0.5-1.5% should be enough but I really wanted a product with a strong scent.
Vitamin E (1.00%): This blend acts as an antioxidant to protect the oils in the formulation from oxidation. Tocopherols, commonly known as Vitamin E, and Ascorbyl Palmitate, a stable form of Vitamin C, work together to prevent rancidity and extend the shelf life of the shower oil. In addition, they offer some antioxidant benefits to the skin, promoting overall skin health.

1. Weigh all the ingredients in a beaker and mix well.
2. Package up and enjoy!
